What does your Handbag say about you?

Have you ever wondered what handbags (designer labels or otherwise) say about you?

One of the best ways to add the essential chic to an everyday outfit is to carry an elegant bag but it really doesn’t have to shout ‘designer’. The trick is to find a bag that is classic and understated so that it becomes a versatile favourite for your wardrobe and will last you years. So often a beautifully put together outfit can be ruined by the use of a shabby or cheap bag. I always like to look in recycle designer shops where one can often find a serious bag for a fraction of the cost of a new one, and the bonus is that it already has that ‘lived in’ look.

The general rule of thumb is that the smaller the bag, the more formal it is, so keep the large ones for weekend shopping trips or casual lunches out with friends.

Now, where did I put my Mulberry……?
